
​Diane Marie Uwase (RW, 1993) is a self-taught artist based in Antwerp, Belgium, whose practice is grounded in allegorical portraiture.
​
With attentive observation, she studies the gestures, faces, and emotional depths of everyday people as well as their past, passions, dreams, and yearnings.
Her work places strong emphasis on both the physical likeness and personal narratives of her subjects.

She made her international art fair debut in late 2024 with Duende Art Projects at AKAA Art Fair (Paris, FR), followed by her Belgian debut at Art Antwerp (Antwerp, BE).
​
Uwase’s recent exhibitions include , a duo show for BHM Belgium (Brussels, BE); Art Brussels 2025, a group presentation with Pedrami Gallery (Brussels, BE); Sint-Denijs-City, a biennale curated by Jan Leysen (Sint Denijs, BE); and Past Presence Sencse, a solo exhibition at Pedrami Gallery (Antwerp, BE).​​
Her work is part of private collections across Europe.
